I Saw Santa at the Airport

Santa opted for leaving his Reindeer at the North Pole and choose to fly Southwest for his recent trip to Phoenix. Spotted at PHX Sky Harbor Airport.

The Boy with an imagination but without a computer!

This little boy created a lab top complete with mouse out of paper. He was actually pretending to use it, while his dad used his I pad. I really hope Santa bring him a computer for Christmas this year. Spotted at Chicago's Ohare Airport.

Trick or Peanut?

Traveling on Halloween can be an interesting experience.  I do love that the Southwest employees get into the Halloween mood

On my flight to New Orleans, one of the flight attendants hide in the overhead compartment.  And, when someone opened it to put their bag up, her hand popped out with a bag of peanuts and she said “Trick or Treat!”    She got about a solid 10 people. Even the passengers got into the action, telling others that the overhead bin was empty.

Extra, Extra, Read All About It!

Between the last minute buys of gum and candy at the gift shop at Washington Dulles Airport was a pile of Playboy Magazines for sale.  The pile of Playboys isn’t what caught my attention, but it was the sign in front of the pile “Only 60 cents”.  So, the cheapest thing in that shop was a Playboy Magazine.

I was thinking with that great deal I would see someone “reading” a Playboy in the terminal or on the plane, but nope.  I guess the travelers that day were not as “open” as the people at the shop.

Big Bird in Human Form

Yes, yellow is a popular color for this fall, but Big Bird is the only one who can pull off the head to toe yellow look.  (Spotted at PHX Sky Harbor Airport)

"Maybe it's Maybelline"

I have heard of fake eyelashes before.....but never for your car. I was lucky to have this women park next to me at the PHX airport off site parking lot, so I could see this new concept. Being the curious one I am, I had to google this and yes I did find the website.  These fake eyelashes for you car are actually called "Carlashes" and could be yours for the low price of $26.99 plus s/h.

Man's Best Friend

I saw this couple at Sky Harbor Airport in PHX with their puppy……in a stroller.  Just so you know, airlines don’t consider your puppy stroller the same as a child’s stroller and it must be check along with your luggage.  After the couple learned this and informed the southwest staff member that this puppy was a “service dog.”  This was obviously a lie, due to how the women delivered this statement and how her husband reacted. Side note: I have never seen or heard of a “service dog” needing to be pushed around in a stroller.  The couple still had to check their puppy stroller.

Lesson Learned:  Puppy/Dog Strollers do not qualify as a carry on item.

To Check or Carry On?

To Check or Carry On Your Empty Water Cooler Bottle is the Question....His Answer was to Carry it On!

This gentleman was spot at the San Diego Airport and I was so lucky to have him on my flight, so we could answer the next question...."Under the seat or in the overhead compartment?"

Answer: The Overhead Compartment!

Going back to the Classics!

I'm going to start out by posting some of the "classics" things I have seen while traveling and then add the new things that I will encounter.
